Options' mission is to provide the women of Western Massachusetts with viable options for developing the necessary mindset and physical skills to prevent an attack if possible or escape if one cannot be prevented.

Options offers the following range of programs:

RAD (Rape and Aggression Defense)

  °

The Basic Physical Defense Course is a group program that consists of lecture, demonstration, participation and finally a simulation event to reinforce the skills and concepts learned.

  °

The Advanced Self Defense Course builds on the knowledge gained in the basic physical defense course and continues the philosophy of teaching realistic techniques in a safe, effective environment.

Individual Instruction:  For those women who prefer one on one instruction tailored to their individual needs.

Hap Ki Do: Women only beginner’s level classes for students who have taken the RAD Basic Physical Defense course and wish to further develop their self-defense skills and/or those who wish to experience all the benefits of a traditional martial arts program in an all female setting.

Workplace Programs:
  °

RAD Basic Physical Defense with an emphasis on safety for the woman who travels during the course of business.  Customized to meet the needs of each employer.

  °

Women’s Self-Defense and Confidence is a seminar designed to explain how the same dynamics that come into play during a physical attack occur subtly in interactions between men and women in the workplace.  The confidence that is gained in learning to respond to a physical confrontation is easily translated into day to day workplace situations.  Most effective when combined with the RAD program above.
